Default slide #4 lecture 6 'Recursive Bound on B(N,k)'

Question: Should the entry in box S1, alpha, under the column for x2 be -1 instead of +1?

If I understood your question correctly, under the column {\bf x}_2 and in general for the rest of the table (other then the last column), the \pm 1's are just illustrative, so there is no particular reason for some of them to be -1 versus +1.
