Default Some helpful (python) cvxopt guides

I've seen some people posting helpful links around, so I thought I'd share three that I found especially useful.

DISCLAIMER: These do contain actual SVM code, though none actually contain answers specific to this course. Use at your own discretion.

Installing cvxopt on windows can be a pain, so here's a list to an installer that someone put together. Note: I am in no way endorsing this, use at your own risk, etc. etc.

Thanks ezreal,

But my cvxopt install did not work. I have some dll loading problem. I am using the active-state python 2.7 ( Don't have enough time to debug this )

Do you know any other alternative in python?

Assuming you're on windows, I've also used python xy. You'd have to uninstall your current python, though.

Reviving this old thread.

I had a lot of trouble installing CVXOPT and implementing the SVM algorithm in Python, so I made a guide. I used the info from the various links posted here and applied them to the homework. Here's the link: http://www.galoreinoso.com/2016/04/0...ry-classifier/
