Exercise 2.2 asks to verify the bound of Theorem 2.4 in the three cases of Example 2.2
However, on (i) it mentions h(x) = sign (x - alpha) This made me confuse. The whole question is not clear to me. Would anyone help? Any tip or reply is appreciated! |

IMHO, there is no need to use the formula
![]() It's enough to show that the LHS and RHS of the theorem inequality holds. You know growth functions for all the cases. |
