Default Exercise 1.3 (b)

If my thinking is correct:



,shouldn't we have the inequality of type less than or equal to than less than only (otherwise we lose x(t)=null vector)?

By convention, the vector \bf x includes the zeroth coordinate x_0 which is fixed at +1, hence the norm of \bf x cannot be zero.
