Hi,

Exercise 1.4 - Are we supposed to use a computer to generate the data and then program a perceptron? What programming language? What do students at Cal Tech use? and on EdX?

Does the book ever explicitly state if things are to be done by hand or by computer?

Exercise 1.4 is meant to play with computers. Have fun with whatever programming platform of your choice. My NTU class seems to be using python or C more often. Hope this helps.
