Exclamation Problem 1.12 (b) and (c)

Problem 1.12 (b) and (c)

Im not understanding on B)

Why it says half the data are at most hmed ? Im not understanding what it means!

on C)
Im not sure i understood the question.
It says yn is perturbed by e, and e -> infinite
It asks what happens to hmean and hmed

To me, hmean would increase , since this yn point is perturbed to positive infinite.
Even if its an outlier, it will end up increasing it.

hmed would remain the same.

However, this answer seems to simple and im insecure about it!

Would anyone clarify?
