I do not understand how to come up with a bound on VC dimension for the case when feature transformation is applied. I figured it out for Exercise 3.12 just by using visual representation but not sure if i should do the same in problem 3.18.
Any hints?

Think about what happens in the X-space if you can shatter 7 points in the Z-space. That might give you the key idea. Hope this helps.
