In 5, should the N=100 points be drawn from the same initial random set, or should a new line and set be generated for each of the 1000 iterations?

Also, in point 8, f(x1,x2) refers to the coordinate of a single point, right?

I think the should be fresh to make independent experiments. Whether drawing a new shouldn't matter (much).

For Problem 8, you are right. are the coordinates of a single point.
