Does the initial value (u,v) = (1,1) count as iteration number 1, or as iteration number 0?

Normally the starting value does not count as an iteration. So I'd say zero.

I agree, it should be zero.
I almost got this wrong, though. I was printing out the values before updating u and v, but the loop started at 1. I fixed it before reading this thread, though. |
