Is the average, g, of hypotheses g1 and g2 defined as g(x) = average(g1(x),g2(x)) for all x in the domain of g1 and g2?

Correct: $g({\bf x})={1 \over 2}(g_1({\bf x})+g_2({\bf x}))$ for all ${\bf x} \in {\cal X}$ .
