SVM and LIONsolver

I completed this homework using the SVM implementation available in the machine learning suite LIONsolver (www.lionsolver.com).
Considering the difficulties encountered by other users solving the exercises using other tools, I wrote down a brief tutorial on how to setup and use SVMs in LIONsolver, you can find it here: http://www.lionsolver.com/info/cases/ml_course/
I hope you might find it useful in future works, or to complete other exercises in the course.

The trial version of the software informs me that it will only use the first 100 sample points. Back to libsvm!

All the students of the Learning From Data course can ask for a free academic license, by registering for a trial evaluation license on lionsolver.com, and then sending a request of license upgrade via email at info[at]lionsolver.com
This permits to avoid the limitation on the dataset size.
