Machine Learning Question?
 
Are there methods for determining dataset when applying machine learning, and quantifying the reliability of the predictions, or is this a matter of judgement left to the practitioner?

There are methods that help doing so, mostly based on some sorts of validation. But I don't think there is a golden automatic procedure at the current stage. Hope this helps.
