Final Question No. 4

I have two doubts on question 4.

1. I would interpret that (e) "Stochastic noise does not depend on the target distribution" means that the expected value of the noise's energy is independent of the target distribution P{y|x}. I would like to make sure the question is not about the input distribution P{x}.

2. The question asks for identifying a true statement, this doesn't necessarily mean (or does it?) that there is only one true statement among the choices. Is this so?

The question is not about the input distribution. Just to make sure that there is no misunderstanding, there is more to noise than just the expected value of its energy.

Correct. There is exactly one true statement.
