*ANSWER* HW2, Q4 Signficance of answer

4. "At what value of will the performance of h be independent of ?"

I got the anser to HW2,Q4 through simple algebraic manipulation. However, is there any significance in the value of being 0.5 and why the performance of h does not depend on in this case ?

At , the value of is pure noise that doesn't say anything about the value of the target, hence the data will not convey any information that we can learn from.
